The school year begins in mid September with a kick-off celebration and ends in April with a talent show. An early May field trip is often included as well. There are two different sessions of classes that are offered, session 1 (September - December) and session 2 (January - April).
C.H.A.R.G.E meets on Tuesday afternoons from 12:15 pm - 3:pm at Christian Life Fellowship located at 600 Seventh St, Port Edwards, WI.
Children in grades 5K-12th can register for C.H.A.R.G.E. There is also a pre-school class offered for younger students that have older siblings registered for C.H.A.R.G.E.
A typical day will begin with announcements and then kids splitting into their age appropriate groups (5K-1st, 2nd-3rd,4th-6th, 7th-12th) and attending three 45 minute classes (4th-6th and 7th-12th choose between two classes every 45 mins). Parents remain onsite and volunteer in the classroom 2 times per session and then participate in announcements, devotional and prayer time, speakers and other special events while children are in class and they aren't in the classroom.
Family requirements include 1. living in the greater Wisconsin Rapids area, 2. children and one parent/guardian required to attend Tuesday afternoon classes during school time (12:00 - 3:00) 3. must adhere to code of conduct 4. must understand fees involved.
The family registration fee for C.H.A.R.G.E. is $75 per year. There is also a $250 fundraising fee that is due at registration time. The fundraising fee can be earned back by using our RaiseRight fundraising app.
The registration fee is used to pay for several yearly expenses including renting of facilities for classes, special events, insurance, website fees (including enrollment website), supplies as needed, and to offset the cost of teachers.
There will be a small per child class fee every session. The registration fee as well as funds earned from fundraising will be used to reduce the session fee per child.
